Group 1: The study includes all patients who received a peritoneal dialysis catheter at our center between January 2010 and March 2022.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients with end-stage renal failure who had a PD catheter implanted for peritoneal dialysis • Open implantation of an Oreopoulos-Zellermann PD catheter via a minilaparotomy • Retrospective data analysis of all patients in the observation period from January 2010 to March 2022 • Age > 18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Age < 18 years • Laparoscopic or interventional placement of a PD catheter • Use of a catheter system other than the Oreopoulos-Zellermann catheter
