Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed borderline personality disorder (BPS; ICD-10: F60.31; ICD-11: 6D11.5) and/or complex post-traumatic stress disorder (kPTBS; ICD-10: F62.0; ICD-11: 6B41)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: History of cardiovascular disease, arterial occlusive disease, very high or very low blood pressure, chronic pain, diabetes, Raynaud's syndrome, epilepsy, psychosis, fracture or other serious injury to the dominant hand/arm, Index trauma within the last month, affirmation of dissociative symptoms in a pre-screening measurement, severe cognitive impairment (IQ<70), regular use of pain-relieving medication, more than five cigarettes per week, current drug use and lack of German language skills. People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, have premenstrual syndrome and are taking hormonal contraceptives are also excluded.
