Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Unilateral lower limb amputations: proximal to the ankle joint, distal to the first third of the femur -Existing prosthesis -Mobility class 2 and 3

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Postural disorders - Vertigo -Acute or serious illnesses: Patients with an illness that will lead to an interruption of the 3-week participation or prevent patients from receiving at least two hours of continuous rehabilitation therapy on weekdays - Serious concomitant injuries that prevent exercise performance - Open injuries to the residual limb - Substance dependence - Pregnancy or breastfeeding - Serious mental illness - Serious cardiovascular problems (NYHA III and NYHA IV)

MeasureTime frame
-Primary outcome was the Timed Up and Go Test (TUG) - This was used to measure the patient's balance and gait ability - The TUG is a simple assessment to evaluate functional balance and mobility in relation to the risk of falling - In people with unilateral transtibial amputation, a sensitivity of 85% and a specificity of 74% were found - Interpretation: there was a significantly increased risk of falling if the test took more than 19 seconds to complete - Target values were obtained at T0 (before the intervention) and T1 (after the intervention) - Measurements were taken in the control and intervention group - The therapists at the Moritz Klinik GmbH used a documentation sheet provided to record the target variable - Guidelines were also provided to the physiotherapists for carrying out the assessments in a standardised manner and for documenting the measurements - In addition, the walking distance for the TUG was uniformly marked in the corridor of the physiotherapy department and a chair was placed there
