Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - between 12-17 years old - a previous fixed orthodontic multi-bracket appliance in the upper/ lower jaw or aligner therapy must be excluded - provided with and sign a written informed consent form and subject information prior to participation - demonstrate good general health as assessed by the investigator based on a current medical history.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - undergoing orthodontic treatment - have severe periodontal disease characterised by purulent exudates, tooth mobility and/or gingival recession - allergies to colourants/dyes used in cosmetic products and foodstuffs exist - other orthodontic treatments are being carried out, e.g. with multi-bracket appliances or aligners - periodontitis treatment is being carried out - more than 3 carious defects need to be treated - an antibiotic was taken two weeks before the start of the study - a pacemaker is worn - a pregnancy exists (by questioning the patient) - syndromes and general diseases are known
