Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: geriatric patients undergoing outpatient, day-care or inpatient treatment - Sufficient cognitive abilities according to medical assessment - Consent to audio recording of the interview
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients and relatives who do not sufficiently understand written and spoken German - Patients and relatives who are younger than 70 years of age - Patients and relatives who are too burdened by the overall situation (assessment by the clinical team)

The focus is on: exploring the patient's perspective on their own understanding of illness, attitudes towards dying and serious illness, identifying needs, opportunities and barriers to conversations about advance care planning and identifying suitable framework conditions for implementing a possible intervention on advance care planning. | — |
