Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The study included patients aged 18 years or older with resectable gastric cancer or adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEG) types II and III who underwent either robot-assisted minimally invasive gastrectomy (RAMIG) or open gastrectomy (OG) between May 2012 and August 2023 and had provided written informed consent for the scientific use of their medical data.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria encompassed peritoneal carcinomatosis, laparoscopic procedures, palliative cases, distant metastases, and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) due to non-comparability of treatment protocols.
