Group 1: Inhouse patients admitted to the departmnet of neurology of the KLinikum Lippe with the diagnosis of an acute ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1: (sub-)acute stroke in the last 14 days 2: minimum 18 years of age

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1: Montreal cognitive Assessment (MoCA) <12 2: considerable impairment/problem of communication 3: lack of legal capacity

Primary

MeasureTime frame
post-stroke depression (PSD) 1: Inclusion (t0) 2: telephone follow up after 3 months (t1) 3: telephone follow up after 6 months (t2) 4: telephone follow up after 12 months (t3) At all time points, depression is assessed using the PHQ-9 and a structured interview is added if the screening is positive. In addition, new diagnoses are asked at t1-t3.
