Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Incidence of perioperative EDKA in Patients on Long-Term SGLT2 Inhibitor Therapy Undergoing Surgical Procedures at the University Hospital Augsburg from 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2024.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Type and duration of the surgical procedure - Anesthesia technique used - Time interval between the last SGLT2 inhibitor intake and the surgical procedure - Guideline-compliant preoperative discontinuation of SGLT2 inhibitors (72h) - Difference in measured ketone levels in relation to the preoperative pause of SGLT2 inhibitor intake - Hospital length of stay in patients with EDKA compared to those without EDKA
