Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. all patients who have undergone cardiac surgery at the Clinic for Cardiac Surgery at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Cardiac Surgery at the University Hospital Bonn. 2. signed declaration of consent for participation and data collection (DSGVO). Inclusion of patients who are capable of giving consent for the procedure or whose consent has been given by a legal representative. OR 3. all patients who have undergone surgery for endocarditis since 2010 at the UKB and the other named centers since 2010. These patients can be contacted and included retrospectively.

Exclusion criteria: No consent to participate.
