Inclusion criteria: Employed as a member of staff in a normal ward of the University Children's Hospital

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: for the Test Persons: - Little knowledge of the German language - Cardiovascular diseases (e.g. cardiac arrhythmia) that influence HRV

With ‘PEWSmart’, a digital early warning system can be created that can be used in everyday clinical practice by means of an application on paediatric wards.

1. does the introduction of ‘PEWSmart’ lead to significant changes in stress-relevant work characteristics of the users? 2. does the introduction of ‘PEWSmart’ bring about significant changes in the chronic stress levels and exhaustion symptoms of the users? 3. how is ‘PEWSmart’ evaluated by the users in terms of user-friendliness and the associated perception of effectiveness and influence on the workload in the clinical monitoring of paediatric patients? 4. what is the basic attitude towards digital applications in the daily clinical routine of nursing staff in a paediatric clinic and how do these basic attitudes influence the perception of the effects of ‘PEWsmart’ on stress-relevant work characteristics and chronic stress levels and symptoms of fatigue 5. what role do socio-demographic factors and attitudes towards digitalisation play in the relationships between ‘PEWSmart’ and stress-relevant work characteristics and chronic stress and fatigue symptoms? 6. what are the expectations and fears regarding ‘PEWSmart’ (digital PEWS monitoring) among medical staff at the three measurement points and how are these influenced by individual factors? 7. to what extent do expectations and fears change across the three measurement points? 8. are significant changes in the physiological markers of chronic stress (HRV) observable during the interview?
