Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All children who are admitted to the paediatric intensive care unit unplanned and who were previously in a normal ward of the respective hospital.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: o Children who are transferred from the emergency department to the paediatric intensive care unit. o Children who are unplanned and transferred from other hospitals. o Lack of parental consent for the storage and transfer of patient data to the study centre in anonymised form
