Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age: 11-18 years at the time of the first wave 2) The presence of a clinical diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder according to ICD-10 3) Achievement of research criteria for ASD: ADI-R cut-off met in two of the four subscales 4) For control subjects: no psychiatric diagnosis and inconspicuous values in the CBCL, FBB-ADHS, FBB-SSV and SRS questionnaires

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Intelligence quotient < 70 2) Contraindications to the collection of MRI data 3) Current or past drug and/or alcohol abuse 4) Use of antipsychotics, antidepressants and/or benzodiazepines

MeasureTime frame
1) Clinical questionnaire data (AQ, CBCL, FBB-ADHS, FBB-SSV,FSK, RBS-R, SRS, Handedness) for wave 1, wave 2 and possibly some additional timepoints. 2) MRI data: sMRI (cortical thickness, surface area, cortical volume, local gyrification, geodesic distance), DTI (Fractional Anisotropy, Mean Diffusivity), rsfMRI (BOLD signal) for wave 1, wave 2 and possibly some additional timepoints.

Intelligence test (Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence, WASI); autism specific diagnostic tools (ADOS, ADI-R) for wave 1, wave 2 and possibly some additional timepoints.
