Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The participants are at least 18 years old. The participants are in the post-acute phase (>12 weeks after acute infection) with persistent post-COVID symptoms. The participants have a medically confirmed post-COVID (U09.9 or U08.9 or U10.9). The participants take part in the study voluntarily.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Severe cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological or musculoskeletal disease and mental (e.g. severe depression) or neurocognitive (e.g. dementia) diagnosis prior to COVID-19. Medically confirmed ME/CFS diagnosis (G93.3).

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary endpoint is the longitudinal assessment of the influence of physical activity-related health competence, biopsychosocial parameters and work ability on habitual physical activity in post-COVID patients. In addition, situational assessment of symptom severity, mood and contextual factors using the electronic diary will allow their direct impact on physical activity to be determined.

MeasureTime frame
The detailed assessment tool for the analysis of everyday activities, in combination with physical activity health literacy and biopsychosocial factors, can provide evidence-based guidelines for targeted behavioural prevention interventions for post-COVID patients in follow-up care.
