Group 1: Long vs. short surgical guides The fit of the respective template in the patients mouth is recorded once using an intraoral scan on the day of the operation.

Inclusion criteria: at least one missing tooth and in need of implant insertion

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: edentoulous jaws

Aim of the study: To illustrate the 3D accuracy of fit of the surgical guides from different fabrications or designs by superimposing intraoral scans on the original planning
