MeasureTime frame
No endpoints in the conventional sense are defined. The aim of the study is to investigate the influence of a parvovirus B19 infection during pregnancy on fetal outcome. In particular, the influence of the time of infection and the severity of the anemia on possible long-term neurological and cardiological consequences will be investigated. For this purpose, prenatal data from pregnant women with parvovirus B19 infection will be evaluated retrospectively. This will be followed by a prospective follow-up examination of the affected children at the ages of 2, 6 and 10 years, in which cognitive, motor and neurological developmental aspects will be recorded using the Bayley III test (2 years) and the WISC-V test (6 and 10 years). In addition, a pediatric cardiology examination using an ECG and detailed ultrasound of the heart will be carried out in the first year of life in order to identify possible long-term cardiological abnormalities.
