Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Patients in need of osteotomy of at least two third molars (at least 1 tooth on each side); - Patients with informed consent (under age patients with parents approval); Patients at an age of at least 16 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patients younger than 16 years; - Patients with contraindication for surgery; -Patients allergic to necessary medication and/or medical devices; -Patients with chronic medication possibly influencing pain perception and/or inflammation and/or wound healing ; -Immunocompromised persons; - Patients without informed consent; -Pregnant or breast feeding women

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
- Swelling according to Gabka+Matsumara, measured between 5 reference points - Preservation of bone structure 6 months post extraction (radiological evaluation)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- pain (VAS) - wound healing and morbidity - trismus (maximal mouth opening) - post-surgery complications - photo documentation of wound healing
