Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Intensive care init stay after coronary artery bypass graft surgery (OPS Code 5-36 – Coronary Vessel Procedures, 2014–2024), voluntary participation, written informed consent after consultation, sufficient German language proficiency.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Inability to provide informed consent (due to linguistic, psychological, or somatic reasons), employees involved in the study or their relatives, withdrawal of consent (secondary exclusion criterion). Additional exclusion criteria for the prospective study arm: Pre-existing or suspected polyneuropathy/myopathy, prior immobilization (defined as being bedridden for more than 50% of the day over a period of two weeks)
