Inclusion criteria: acute or acute on chronic pancreatitis

Exclusion criteria

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Occurrence of any thromboembolic event during an episode of acute or acute on chronic pancreatitis.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1) any complication (composite endpoint: elevated liver enzymes, need for surgical/radiological/endoscopic intervention); 2) need for therapeutic anticoagulation; 3) pancreatitis severity; 4) resolution of thrombosis; 5) rehospitalization; 6) performance status; 7) etiology of pancreatitis; 8) hospitalization duration; 9) risk factors; 10) death.
