Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Independent travel to the location of the exercise programme (green and park areas of the respective district) • Basic knowledge of the German language

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • There is a medical prohibition against physical exertion. • A serious, medically diagnosed health event within the last 6 months (e.g. heart attack, stroke, bone fractures, operations, pneumonia). • Diagnosed dementia or major depression • Participation in other clinical trials, e.g. to test new drugs

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The participatory development and sustainable structural anchoring of exercise-related health promotion through the establishment of needs-specific exercise groups for older people (aged 65 and over), some of whom live alone. The necessary local resources and capacities for implementing the program are to be built up.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation of the effects of the exercise program on the health and well-being of the participants. Longitudinal quantitative data on cognitive, physical and psychosocial parameters are collected at three measurement points: at the beginning (T1), after 16 weeks (T2) and after a further 16 weeks (T3) at the end of the exercise intervention.
