Inclusion criteria: - adult women and men of all ages and constitutional types - elective operations - Operations without expected high blood loss

Exclusion criteria: - Minors - Pregnant women - Emergency operations - Operations with expected high blood loss - Acute influence of alcohol in the patient

MeasureTime frame
The aim of the study is to determine the maximum possible “apparent BAC” after therapeutic sevoflurane administration. A subsequent scientific publication of the results is intended to disseminate knowledge about possible selectivity problems in routine forensic alcohol analysis: Experts will then be able to take into account therapeutic sevoflurane applications prior to sampling as an influencing factor both in sample guidance (selection of analytical method) and in the interpretation of BAC findings. In addition, they can review the methods they use and adapt them if necessary, so that in future only sufficiently selective methods are used to differentiate between inhalation anesthetics and alcohol.
