Patients requiring intensive care without precise reasons. All patients with extended haemodynamic monitoring by PiCCO are included.

Inclusion criteria: Period from 01/2020 to 03/2024

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Incomplete data acquisition, acquisition of other haemodynamic parameters that were not recorded with PiCCO, Pre-existing atrial fibrillation, No invasive mechanical ventilation

MeasureTime frame
Assessment of the correlation of the Plasma Volume Status values with the haemodynamic parameters of the PiCCO measurement (stroke volume variance, global end-diastolic volume). These values are recorded at every point in the calibration of the PiCCO system (usually every 8 hours or at shorter intervals if there is an acute change in the patient's condition). All data records of the intensive care stay from admission to discharge are recorded.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assessment of plasma volume status values in the event of changes in stroke volume, cardiac index and lactate. Changes in PVS in the event of Hb-relevant haemorrhages. Change in PVS if renal replacement therapy is required.
