Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Acute traumatic unilateral and complete Achilles tendon rupture Indication for surgical treatment at the BG Trauma Clinic Murnau Body Mass Index between 18 and 25 kg/m² Age between 18 and 67 years
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Contralateral injuries of the lower extremity Neurological disorders affecting the ability to walk Inflammatory or traumatic prior injuries of the Achilles tendon
