Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Insufficiently physically active adults aged 18 to 65, residing in Switzerland and fluent in German. Participants must not meet the recommended WHO PA guidelines (less than 150 minutes of moderate or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity per week).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria include any medical condition contraindicating moderate exercise, as determined by the PA Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). Participants answering “yes” on the PAR-Q will need medical clearance. Pregnant women will also be excluded, with a specific question on pregnancy included in the PAR-Q.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome and endpoint are self-reported PA level measured by the BSA questionnaire after 6 months of follow-up.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcomes are changes in motivation, self-efficacy, outcome expectations and movement planning (implementation intentions, coping planning), along with satisfaction with the intervention. Secondary endpoint is post-intervention (6 weeks).
