This study investigates the clinical efficacy and impact of the use of anatomic healing abutments (AHAs) on the healing and stability of peri-implant soft tissue in patients with single-tooth implants. 18 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients aged 18 and over. Planned single tooth implant replacement. General health according to ASA classification grade 1-2 (no or mild systemic diseases). Sufficient bone availability for implant placement without additional extensive augmentation measures.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with ASA classification grade 3 or higher (severe systemic diseases). Uncontrolled systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus or immunosuppression. Smoking patients with more than 10 cigarettes per day. Existing acute or chronic infections in the area of the planned implant site. Pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Procedural efficiency in the clinical section WHAT: Reduction of clinical treatment time through the use of anatomic healing abutments (AHAs). WHEN: Time points of recording: T1: During the clinical phase, when placing the healing abutments and during the digital impression. T2: After completion of the digital impression and preparation for the prosthetic restoration. HOW: Time measurement of the clinical work processes (e.g. insertion of the abutment, scanning) in seconds, recorded by the treating dentist using a stopwatch.

Procedural efficiency in the laboratory section WHAT: Time required for the digital design and fabrication of the prosthetic restoration. WHEN: Times of recording: T3: During the design and fabrication of the prosthetic restoration in the laboratory. HOW: Time measurement of the laboratory work processes (CAD/CAM design time) in seconds, recorded by the dental technician.
