Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - At least 18 years of age - On a voluntary basis /Signed declaration of consent to participate in the study - Clinically confirmed that a dental crown is required in the posterior region.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Periodontal therapy necessary or not completed - Abutment situations that do not allow a scan (e.g. deep subgingival preparation). - Pregnant patients.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
the grinding time required to adjust the occlusal surface of the crowns at the chairside

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Measurement of the volume milled from the occlusal surface of the adapted crown. - the amount of material milled from the occlusal surface. This is determined by visual comparison before and after the grinding process. - the fit of the crown in the marginal, inner and proximal areas: width of marginal gap and cement gap. - Among other things, the aim is to check how much treatment time and therefore costs can be saved.
