Inclusion criteria: Expert opinions on legal guardianship of the years 2020 to 2024

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No reports from the judicial districts that belong to the Braunschweig Higher Regional Court, as the head of the study himself works as an expert here. No reports prepared by the study director. Only reports from lower saxonia.

The aim of the study is to analyze the procedures used by forensic psychiatry experts in questions of the socalled free will and to understand whether there are consistent or recurring patterns. This will be achieved by examining 500 reports, focusing on the justification of the procedures used in answering questions on decision-making. The analysis will be conducted using the MAXQDA software to identify content codes and recognize patterns.	—
