Group 1: All adult patients who were treated preclinically by the emergency physicians of the involved emergency medical vehicles and underwent a blood gas analysis

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Indication for a peripheral venous access and/or arterial blood pressure measurement Patients with suspected/confirmed disturbances in oxygenation/ventilation Patients with arrhythmias Patients with altered consciousness Patients with suspected metabolic disorders, such as sepsis, acute renal failure Patients with suspected anemia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients <18 years No indication for peripheral venous access and/or arterial blood pressure measurement
