Interventions

Group 1: Participants with diagnosis of uterine fibroid are examined using transabdominal ultrasound and SWE and the stiffness of the fibroids is measured
if surgery is indicated, the surgical specimen is also examined using SWE Group 2: Participants with healthy myometrium are examined by transabdominal SWE and the stiffness of the myometrium is measur

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women with an active menstrual cycle depending on the assigned group: healthy participants: healthy myometrium, no history of uterine or pelvic disease Myoma participants: gynaecologically confirmed diagnosis of at least one uterine myoma

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: women before their first period women in menopause pregnant women breastfeeding women
