| A knowledge test with 18 single-choice questions, each with four possible answers, was created to assess knowledge about BFRBs. There are two different tests for the group of treating or affected persons in order to avoid technical jargon for the second group. The difference in correctly answered questions (from T0 to T1) serves as a central target parameter in this study. The knowledge test is carried out at the pre- and post-survey of the intervention period (online training). | — |

| The GBS-8 (Generic Body-Focused Repetitive Behavior Scale 8) (Moritz et al., 2022; https://doi.org/10.1017/S1352465822000327) is a transdiagnostic self-assessment scale to assess the presence of BFRBs and comprises 8 items. The difference in total score (from T0 to T1) serves as a secondary endpoint in the group of individuals affected by BFRBs. The ZUF-8 (Questionnaire for the Measurement of Patient Satisfaction; Kritz et al., 2008) is an 8-item scale designed to measure the quality and subjective effectiveness of an intervention and the respondent's intention to use it in the future. In this study, we added a ninth item for the group of people with BFRB to assess their subjective symptom improvement. The GBS-8 is administered at the pre- and post-survey of the intervention period, the ZUF-8 only at the post-survey of the intervention period (T1). | — |
