| The primary aim of the preliminary study is 1. the development of an evidence-based intervention (BeStärken+ and advanced training) 2. further testing and optimization of BeStärken+ 3. derivation of recommendations for action The main objective is process evaluation. Companions ("Alltagsbegleiterinnen/Alltagsbegleiter" in german) who help people in need of care to cope with everyday life (non-caregivers) are questioned at t0 (start of the BeStärken+ intervention), t1 (8 weeks after the start of BeStärken+), t3 (16 weeks after the start of BeStärken+) and t4 (24 weeks after the start / end of BeStärken+) about motivation, acceptance of the activities, barriers and success factors, quality of the training courses, subjective impressions and use. Maximum 10 Companions who help people in need of care to cope with everyday life (non-caregivers) are also interviewed at t0, t2 (12 weeks after the start oft BeStärken+) and t4. Maximum 10 people in need of care are interviewed at t2 about motivation, acceptance, barriers and success factors, characteristics of the people in need of care (e.g. care level), housing and living situation.
