Interventions

Group 1: Patients with metastatic prostate cancer who are already been treated with androgen deprivation and who received local curatively-intended therapy (surgery or radiotherapy) after first diagno
3 months after end of radiotherapy or 3 months after start of systemic therapy). If available, already obtained biomaterials (primary tumours, tissue samples from metastases) should be used for the st

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Cohort 1: Analyses of the expression profiles of CTCs, proteins and nucleic acids in patients with osseous metastatic pattern and comparison to patients with lymphogenic metastatic pattern. Cohort 1 and 2: Comparison of the expression profiles of circulating tumour cells (CTCs) and other biological characteristics (see above) of patients with prostate carcinoma with patients with metastases from other primary tumours/histologies.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Cohort 1: PSA response to systemic therapy in correlation with number and characteristics of CTCs. Cohort 1 and 2: Clinical progression in correlation with number and characteristics of CTCs.
