Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Clinical indication for a right heart catheterization • Presence of a written informed consent from study participants after thorough explanation of the nature, significance, risks, and implications of the examination • Sinus rhythm • Moderate precapillary pulmonary hypertension (defined as mean pulmonary arterial pressure > 20 mmHg and pulmonary vascular resistance > 3 WU) • Stable pharmacological management of the underlying disease

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • PH Group 2 (left heart disease and PAWP > 15 mmHg) • History of substance abuse or substance abuse in immediate relatives • High-grade supraventricular or ventricular arrhythmias • Renal insufficiency with GFR 3x ULN) or known liver disease (hepatitis, malignancy, steatosis hepatis) • Delta mPAP of baseline hemodynamics > 10% variation from baseline value • Symptomatic hypotension • Known pulmonary veno-occlusive disease (PVOD)

Primary

Acute administration of 200ml of polyphenol-rich red wine or its dealcoholized variant leads to a decrease in pulmonary arterial resistance (PVR) within one hour

H2: Acute administration of 200ml of polyphenol-rich red wine or its dealcoholized variant leads to a decrease in mean pulmonary arterial pressure within one hour. (mPAP) H3: The acute administration of 200ml of polyphenol-rich red wine or its dealcoholized variant leads to an increase in cardiac output within one hour H4: Acute administration of 200ml of polyphenol-rich red wine or its dealcoholized variant leads to an increase in right ventricular function (TAPSE, s', TAPSE/sPAP, s'/sPAP, RV longitudinal strain) within one hour H5: Acute administration of 200ml of polyphenol-rich red wine or its dealcoholized variant leads to a decrease in systolic pulmonary arterial pressure (sPAP) within one hour H6: Acute administration of 200ml of polyphenol-rich red wine or its dealcoholized variant improves endothelial function H7: Acute administration of 200ml of polyphenol-rich red wine or its dealcoholized variant leads to an improvement in oxygenation H8: Acute administration of 200ml of polyphenol-rich red wine or its dealcoholized variant improves right ventricular contractility H9: H8: Acute administration of 200ml of polyphenol-rich red wine or its dealcoholized variant improves left ventricular contractility Exploratory endpoints: Metabolom-profile predicts changes in the primary endpoint Single-cell-sequencing profile predicts changes in the primary endpoint
