Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Patients with histologically confirmed, advanced pharyngeal/laryngeal carcinoma. - According to the tumor board decision, transcervical surgical resection via laryngectomy or pharyngotomy with flap plasty is indicated.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Age < 18 years - Patients who are unable to give consent - Women of childbearing age - Patients with derailed / difficult to control diabetes mellitus (“carbohydrate loading” not possible) - Patients with severe, uncontrolled COPD (breathing training not possible) - Patients with intolerances to Fortimel®, preOP® or their ingredients
