Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients with localized esophageal cancer who were treated neoadjuvantly depending on the tumor stage and who subsequently underwent esophageal resection • Replacement of the removed esophagus with a gastric conduit • Retrospective data analysis of all patients in the observation period from January 2016 to October 2024

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Advanced tumor stage with distant metastases and inoperability • Age < 18 years • Reconstruction method other than gastric conduit • Surgery due to esophageal perforation
