|---|---|
| Investigation of Finasteride-Induced Epigenetic Alterations and their Impact on Gene Expression These alterations can only be detected through laboratory-based analytical methods. Induced epigenetic changes—such as altered methylation patterns in androgen receptor (AR) regulatory regions or modifications in the chromatin landscape of androgen-responsive genes—are identified in the laboratory. These changes may underlie a pathologically altered sensitivity to androgens, potentially resulting in cytotoxicity and widespread dysregulation of gene expression. | — |
