Group 1: Verum group: Superficial heat application using verum moxibustion. A total of 32 healthy volunteers per acupuncture point (Stomach 36, Liver 3, Pericardium 6, Large Intestine 11) will be exam

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy volunteers classified as Class 1 according to the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known disease of the cardiovascular or nervous system diseases, medication for cardiovascular or nervous system diseases, BMI >30 (Adiposities Grade 1 and higher), BMI <17 (moderate and strong underweight), smokers, drug consumers, strong menstruation pain on the day of the experiment, caffeinated drinks on the day of the experiment, allergies against moxibustion (artemisia vulgaris).

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Investigation of whether verum intervention at acupuncture points has different effects on blood pressure compared to sham intervention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To investigate how moxibustion affects the autonomic nervous system by analyzing its influence on the sympathetic nervous system (ACmod) and parasympathetic nervous system (RMSSD, SD1, AR_logHF, and DCmod) activity based on HRV parameters.
