Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient age > 18 years 2. Fully edentulous patients 3. Partially edentulous patients with or without dental implants 4. Completely edentulous patients with or without dental implants

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant and breastfeeding women 2. Treatment with systemic antibiotics within the last 3 months

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Association between oral health status assessed by the clinical parameters (bleeding on probing, probing depth values, number of missing teeth, suppuration) and neuroinflamamtion in the matter of the cerebrum assessed in the MRI images.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Association between pro- and anti-inflammatory biomolecule serum levels in blood and gingival fluid, and neuroinflammation in the matter of the cerebrum assessed in the MRI images.
