This study does not investigate diseases or health problems of patients. Instead, clinical processes are being investigated in order to support medical staff in the future.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - All patients with an inpatient treatment contract with the surgical clinic. - Surgery performed during this inpatient stay. - Sufficient knowledge of German to ensure understanding of the study content and instructions by the medical staff. - Existing consent to the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Part of a risk group (age <18 years, psychiatric illness, legal guardianship, pregnant women). - Lack of consent. - Missing inpatient treatment contract in surgery on ward M1c/d. - No surgery performed during this inpatient stay. - No wound. - Inability/restriction to speak German.

| Analysis of the wound care process and related contextual information: The material consumption for postoperative wound care of participating patients, as well as a detailed documentation of the wound itself are recorded until the patient is discharged from the hospital.
