Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Status post unilateral complete anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture with an indication for arthroscopic reconstruction of the ACL rupture using tendon grafts. Participants have full legal capacity and understand the nature, scope, significance, and consequences of the assessments and interventions. Participants will be included in the study during the period between the injury and the subsequent reconstructive surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Severe secondary or associated injuries, regardless of location - Secondary or associated injuries on the non-ACL-ruptured side - No indication for surgery (conservative treatment)

MeasureTime frame
Type, duration, frequency, and intensity of all rehabilitation measures. Questionnaire assessment of potential/hypothetical readiness to return to sport (ACL-RSI), assessments of pain and other symptoms (KOOS), as well as functional assessments of knee extension.
