Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Written consent to participate in the study (HeiPoDD study information + information on proeteome analyses for the prediction of complications in thoracic aortic dissections) - Age > 18 years - Radiologically confirmed evidence of a thoracic aortic dissection Stanford type B - Capacity to consent - The control patients from the HeiPoDD study consented to inclusion in the HeiPoDD study

Exclusion criteria: - Age < 18 years - Cancellation/refusal of the radiological examination - Lack of written consent from the patient

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The progression of an acute aortic dissection, as measured by follow-up CT-A examinations with the need for surgical treatment, can be recognized by the proteome expression profile over the course of monitoring.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The proteome expression profile correlates with radiological findings over time after acute aortic dissection (false channel thrombosis, expansion of the aortic diameter, etc.). In addition, the proteome expression profile correlates with clinical parameters of the monitoring phase of an acute aortic dissection (therapy-refractory hypertension, pain, etc.).
