Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Principally: voluntary participation - Nursing homes: Nursing homes in Bremen that have stated their interest, the selection resides with the TCALL initiative. - Employees: Questionnaires and focus groups: Direct involvement in the nursing care of residents - Residents: i) Survey: all residents who are able to complete a questionnaire independently or with support according to the assessment of the nursing staff. For cognitively impaired residents, for example, an external assessment is provided. ii) Focus groups with residents who, according to the assessment of the care professionals, are cognitively able to do so

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Residents: terminal residents, living in the respecting nursing home less than 6 weeks - Employees: survey: employment less than 4 weeks.

Quantitative data: Primary data (employees): - Job satisfaction of employees (EXQ - Employee Experience Questionnaire ) - organizational commitment, individual commitment and collective commitment (EXQ) - Mental workload and influence and development opportunities in the workplace (COPSOQ - Copenhagen Psychological Questionnaire ) - Competencies (self-developd questionnaire) - Readiness for technology (short scale for readiness for technology according to Neyer et al. 2012) - Use of technology (self-developed questionnaire based on Braeseke et al. 2020) - Presenteeism and absenteeism (self-developd questionnaire) Secondary data (employees): - Staff turnover, sickness levels and use of temporary employment agencies (routine data from nursing homes) Primary data (residents): - Quality of care in residents (number of nursing home-sensitive hospital admissions) - Symptoms of apathy (AES - Apathy Evaluation Scale ) - Stage of dementia (GDS - Global Deterioration Scale ) - Subjective quality of life in people without dementia (ASCOT-SCT4 - the Adult Social Care Outcomes Toolkit) - Quality of life in people with dementia (QUALIDEM - Quality of life in dementia) - Behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (NPI-NH - Neuropsychiatric Inventory Nursing Home Version) - Complications and adverse events (routine data) Secondary data (residents): - Quality of care based on statutory quality assurance data (internal quality indicators and external quality audits) - Complications and adverse events (routine data from the nursing homes) All outcomes are measured at baseline (T0), at several multiple follow-ups at a six-month interval and at the end of the study. Qualitative data: Focus groups will be conducted with employees, residents, head of nursing homes, and research staff at least once a year.
