Group 1: 3 tests of 10 minutes each per patient (different settings for rate of pressure rise)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - invasive ventilation - ventilation using TCAV-protocol

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Failure to meet inclusion criteria - Contraindications for ventilation under the TCAV protocol: obstructive ventilatory disorder, undrained pneumothoraces - Refusal to participate in the study - Implanted pacemakers or defibrillators - Severe skin lesions or thoracic burns

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation of the influence of the ramp setting on the above parameters associated with a VILI in invasively ventilated patients without spontaneous breathing efforts

MeasureTime frame
Measurement of regional lung impedance over time using electrical impedance tomography (EIT) as a correlate for end-expiratory lung volume
