Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - reliably diagnosed fibromyalgia syndrome according to American College of Rheumatology criteria (Wolfe et al., 2010), - Age between 18 and 80 years, - Tolerance to whole-body cryotherapy, - BMI < 40 kg/m2, - blood pressure < 160/90 mmHg, - good general health

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Cardiovascular system: - PAD (all stages), - Thrombosis (within 160 mmHg -Bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Electronic implants - Pacemaker, defibrillator, neurostimulators - Poor general condition, General: - Acute infection (respiratory tract, urinary tract, herpes) - Severe neurological-psychiatric illness (epilepsy, dementia, psychosis, substance abuse disorder/acute withdrawal, claustrophobia), - pregnancy - unstable insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, tendency to hypoglycaemia, circulatory problems, fainting spells, - Known cold agglutinins or cold allergy, patients who have experienced significant side effects during cryotherapy - Known (relevant) coagulation disorders - Hyperreactive bronchial system - Wound healing disorders, open wounds - Non-removable metal on the body - BMI40 - Surgery < 6 weeks ago - Exercise therapy performed in parallel, - Patients with severe hearing or visual impairment, - severe headaches, - tumour diseases/chemotherapy, - Stoma care (enterostomy, tracheostomy, urostomy, port) - Polyneuropathies, hyperhidrosis
