Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary aim of the planned study is to investigate the influence of different predictors (age, gender, body dysmorphia symptoms, psychopathology) on the drive for muscularity. In this context, the influences of different predictors in a broad sample of men and women of different ages will be compared and examined with regard to existing findings in the literature. Furthermore, the interactions of the different predictors with each other will be examined in terms of their effect on the drive for muscularity. In an exploratory analysis, the amount of exercise, the mode of exercise, and the sexual orientation will be included.
