Exploratory study on quality assurance in child and adolescent psychiatric centres, screening for internet use disorder

Interventions

Group 1: Employees of German child and adolescent psychiatric centres are surveyed once about their digital skills. The survey consists of a self-assessment of digital literacy and a knowledge survey.

Inclusion criteria: Current employment in a German child and adolescent psychiatric clinic

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Younger than 18 years, no existing employment relationship in a German child and adolescent psychiatric clinic

Self-perceived digital competence (ICT Self-Concept Scale), actual digital competence (knowledge via newly developed scale and Compulsive Internet Use Scale (CIUS)), perceived level of digitalisation in child and adolescent psychiatry (newly developed questionnaire for the study), knowledge about 'gaming disorder' (computer game addiction) and the residual category for other internet-related disorders according to ICD-11 (newly developed questionnaire for the study), willingness to participate in training and survey of influential aspects (newly developed questionnaire for the study), at a single measurement point.	—
