Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Right-handed individuals
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Body mass index 30 - Presence of acute or chronic somatic or psychiatric illnesses (based on self-report or routine examination) - Presence of MRI-specific exclusion criteria (claustrophobia, pacemakers, non-MRI compatible metallic foreign bodies) - Participation in other studies involving medication, or regular medication intake (except thyroid, allergy medication, occasional use of pain medication) - Intake of pain medication within 24 hours prior to start of examination - Pregnancy or breastfeeding - Acute skin disease or injury at the sites to be stimulated

| The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of movement suppression on pain-related neural signatures. The primary outcome of interest is the interaction between pain processing and motor behavior on the fMRI level. That is, do pain-related neural responses differ when an individual must suppress their motor responses compared to when these responses are executed. | — |

| Secondary endpoints include comparisons of reaction times and acceleration of the finger movement for painful versus non-painful trials. We will also analyse whether subjective pain ratings differ when motor responses to pain are either permitted (and executed), or prohibited (and suppressed). | — |
