Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Asymptomatic Patients for temporomandibular disorders

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Head/face/jaw joint pain, facial tension, cracking, rubbing, mouth-opening limitation, or mouth-closing blockage for the previous three months -Systemic rheumatic, neurological, neuropathic, collagen, vascular, and autoimmune diseases -Fibromyalgia -Depression -Pregnancy -Head/neck trauma within the previous two months -Medication use within the previous six weeks -Use of analgesics, narcotics, and muscle relaxants within the previous two weeks -Conservative or orthodontic treatment in the previous three months -Radiotherapy to the head and neck -Temporomandibular joint surgery.

Do compensated TMD findings occur in asymptomatic patients? (Assignment of parameters, prevalences) Are there differences between the four screening tests (PMSA, PSBS, CMD screening, CMD short findings) in terms of their diagnostic quality? (Assignment of parameters, sensitivity, specificity) Are there differences between the four screening tests and the reference standard DC/TMD? (Assignment of parameters, sensitivity, specificity) To address these questions, the following parameters were assigned to the five DC/TMD diagnoses: 1. Muscle pain measures using palpation (0.5kg for posterior/anterior digastric venter muscle, lateral pterygoid muscle, temporalis tendon.; 1kg for masseter muscle, temporalis muscle), isometric tests (80 sec), investigation of active/passive mouth opening, asking for pain 2. joint pain measures using palpation (0.5kg temporomandibular joint, 1kg lateral condylar pole ), passive compression (cranial, dorsal, dorsocranial, dorsolateral, and dorsolateral-cranial directions), asking for pain, investigation of active/passive mouth opening 3. cracking sounds measures using palpation of temporomandibular joints (during mouth opening/closing, protrusion, lateral movements), dynamic translation (medial, lateral direction), asking for cracking sounds 4.rubbing sound measures using palpation of temporomandibular joints (during mouth opening/closing, protrusion, lateral movements), dynamic compression, asking for rubbing sounds 5. limited mouth opening measures using assisted/unassisted mouth opening (less than 43mm, 40mm, 38mm), asking for blockages/pain
