Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Muscle strength of the knee extensors as well as patellar tendon strain and stiffness are assessed at four measurement time points (M1 - M4; M1: before the intervention, M4 after the intervention) in 12-week intervals with a combination of dynamometry and ultrasound. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Patellar tendon micromorphology is assessed with ultrasound and the prevalence of tendon pain and pain-related disability is assessed with the VISA-P (Victorian Institute of Sports Assessment – Patellar) questionnaire at the above-mentioned time points M1 - M4. | — |
