Further exclusion criteria for all subjects: Centrally acting medication, neurological abnormalities, organically induced mental illness, dementia, CNS injuries, MRI contraindications, left-handedness.
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The primary endpoint is a reduction in intrusive social images, in comparison between the intervention and control conditions. As this is a feasibility study, the aim is only to investigate whether a reduction is possible with the help of the intervention; a quantitative criterion for the success of the reduction is not yet defined. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| As secondary endpoints, activation patterns in fMRI (imagery provocation task and modulation task) will be investigated. We expect an overlap of neuronal activity during imagination of an intrusive social image and playing Tetris in MRI. In addition, we expect an increased activation of brain areas involved in emotion processing during the imagination of an intrusive social image compared to a neutral image. We also expect a correlation between neuronal activity during imagination of an intrusive social image and emotion-regulation capabilities measured via questionnaires. | — |
