Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Patients with tracheostomy who have at least one month's experience of independent or partially independent stoma care at home - Cognitive and motor skills as well as written willingness to participate in the survey - Sufficient language skills in German to read and fill out the questionnaire
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Patients in a palliative situation - Patients in long-term inpatient care

| The German translation of the Self-Management Assessment Scale (SMASc) is used to record self-management. As a differentiated depiction of disease-specific problems is not possible using the SMASc, additional questions are asked specifically about the self-management of tracheostomy. | — |

| Life satisfaction is assessed using the one-item short scale to measure general life satisfaction (L-1). The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale - German version (HADS-D) is used to record the symptoms of anxiety and depression. The experience of stigmatization is measured using the German translation of the Social Impact Scale (SIS-D). | — |
